A bedroom above the drive is a clever way of adding an extra room if your roof is hipped or has low headroom. The access to the new room is generally from the rejigged landing window. As the room is on “stilts” you still have access to the rear of the property and provides a carport at no extra cost or you make the space underneath as a garage!.
