Dormer Extensions

A Loft conversion with a Dormer Extension is an ultimate room in the roof. It provides a rectangular shaped room, with excellent headroom covering over 65% of the loft floor-space. A Dormer extension to an average 3-bed semi house can provide a master bedroom, en-suite and possibly a dressing room of which could include good views to the rear. For example imagine French doors with a Juliet balcony in your bedroom!

Most rear-facing Dormers do not require a planning application, however front facing dormers probably will.

During construction access is provided by means of scaffolding, therefore you do not have to move out, and if your roof is a traditional, trussed rafter or timber-framed we can build.

If you have low headroom, (less than 2.3 metres) and are detached, a Dormer Extension is still possible but we have to be a little more creative!.
