Staircases are a fundamental feature to homes.
When designing your new floor, we plan the stairs to look like the existing. The aim is to make it look like it has always been there.
The ideal position for a new staircase is above the existing staircase. Since a staircase has to rise at 42 degrees or less, this restricts options of placement.
Below l have included a photo of a “space-saver” staircase. These are only fitted in extreme circumstances and are only legal due to its unique design.
